Here We Are

So, here we are. How did we get here? And where is here? I'm just kidding, we're not going to get that deep - at least not right now. Because where we really are is me on my couch, writing a blog post into the ether with no one reading it and no one other than me (and my cat) knowing that it exists.

Then why write it? Good question. I guess because I wanted an outlet to write about my experience with and understanding of Tarot in a way that makes sense to me (less spiritual, more scientific / psychological). Now, before I go any further, I want to be very clear that I'm not intending to yuck anyone's yum here. If you draw comfort and peace from spirituality - whether it's with the Tarot cards or anything else - and you're not infringing on the rights of others, you do you, I have no issues with that whatsoever. But that's not what you'll find here.

My understanding about Tarot falls less along the lines of the spiritual and more about reflection, agency, fun, storytelling and a little bit of sarcasm for good measure. And sure, there might be some tongue-in-cheek spookiness here and there, but if I ever start selling rose quartz or aura mist, please contact the authorities because I have been kidnapped.
